Sound Therapy

The right sound is indeed a powerful means to help our bodies heal.  When our ear hears sound, it is transformed to an electrical signal that reaches to the auditory cortex, a part of the brain that process sound affecting various responses. Different neurons respond according to sound and play a role in balancing our nervous system.  The Journal of Advanced Nursing, May 2006 issue reported that people who listen to accurate sound experienced reduced pain with lower levels of depression, and lifting mood.  Sound therapy can help increase overall well-being by restoring brain power, improving memory, balancing emotions, regulating sleep cycles, reducing pain, alleviating stress and anxiety.
