Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake in the moment.  Being mindful is to be present and at one with the people around you, your surroundings, and what you are doing.    With mindfulness you can develop greater focus to help you gain insight.  Insight gives you the understanding to transform your pain and suffering as you liberate your mind.  By transforming yourself, the energy reaches far and deep, further helping to transform society to be more loving, peaceful and compassionate.

Mindfulness meditation is a practice to clear the mind, quiet emotions, and calm the body.  It is a tool to increase awareness and re-connect the body and mind in harmony.  This process helps to reach greater levels of health and well-being. Mindfulness meditation helps you to cope with stress more creatively as you establish a practice to reduce the mind chatter leading you to think with deeper clarity and become more aware of how you truly feel and discover reasons behind your emotions.  Mindfulness practice aids in managing emotional, and physical pain that often accompany many medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders, hormone imbalance, depression, anxiety, respiratory disease, and many others.

Amongst the many ways to practice mindfulness meditation, the typical meditation layout at Butterfly Holistic Studio is below:

Guided Meditation 15 minutes
Walking Meditation 15 minutes
Sitting Meditation 15 minutes
Meditation with Singing Bowl 10 minutes
Sharing and Gratitude Meditation 15 minutes

Mindfulness Meditation is held on Mondays 6:30pm - 7:40pm. We practice and observe meditation in silence, except for the sharing and gratitude section but, it is not mandatory to share or speak; instead, one may continue to sit in silence and deeply listen.
